MANILA, Philippines–Philippine National Police chief Director General Alan Purisima and other Filipino police officials have arrived in London to discuss counter-terrorism strategies with the city’s Metropolitan Police.
Zamboanga regional director Chief Superintendent Juanito Vano and Director for Police and Community Relations Lina Sarmiento will join Purisima in a five-day meeting tackling new trends in security techniques.
PNP spokesperson Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor said after the London trip of Purisima’s group, they would be meeting with senior officials of the Police Service of Northern Ireland in Belfast.
Last November 29, Purisima led a humanitarian caravan in Leyte for policemen who were affected by Typhoon Yolanda.
