MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines is a natural choice for terrorists wanting to hide from authorities, an official was quoted as saying on Radyo Inquirer Thursday.
Special Envoy on Transnational Crime (OSETC) Ambassador Rex Piad said that because of the country’s geography, terrorists, would choose to stay here particularly in Mindanao.
He said that law enforcement agencies should be vigilant and border patrols on alert to prevent terrorists from entering the country, especially after Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed by US special forces Monday.
