PNU hosts Apec forum

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Normal University (PNU) as the National Center for Teacher Education is cohosting the ninth Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Future Education Forum and the 11th International Apec Learning Community Builders (Alcob) Conference up to Oct. 30.

The meet, which opened on Oct. 26, has for its theme “Searching for Specific Strategies for the Sustainable Growth of the Apec-based Global Creative Learning Community.”

The conference discusses international education collaboration and directions and visions for future education among Apec member countries.

It also seeks to solidify the friendship among Alcob members.

The event is cohosted by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Korean Ministry of Education with the Institute of Apec Collaborative Education (IACE), Korea, as lead organizer.

Participants are government officials, experts, Alcob-Teachers, Alcob-University Students and Alcob-Learners from 20 Apec members and three countries from the Middle East.
