UC awards outstanding students
Five University of Cebu students who excelled in their respective fields were given recognition in the 1st Atty. Augusto W. Go Outstanding Achievement Awards recently held at the Sinulog Hall of Rizal Museum on Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.
UC president lawyer Augusto W. Go gave the inspirational message, while university chancellor Candice Gotianuy and members of the search committee presented the awards.
The awardees were Paulo Martin Saberon (UC-Banilad) in student governance/leadership, Trexie Epis (UC-Main) in campus journalism, Sofea Group (UC-Lapu-Lapu Mandaue) in community service, Lenly Navaja (UC-Maritime Education and Training Center) in athletics and human kinetics and Tracy Marie Mabal (UC-Main) in culture and the arts.
The Atty. Augusto W. Go Outstanding Achievement Award is the highest award given to any college student or student organizations or clubs that contributed to the betterment of the UC community.
The award emphasizes the university president’s belief in the UCian brand of excellence.
UC has over 7,000 scholarship slots available every school year. The scholastic grants include academic, working, cultural, athletic and peer facilitator.
