Iranian with fake dollar bills arrested in Manila casino
MANILA, Philippines—An Iranian national was arrested by the internal security of a hotel in Pasay city Saturday night for allegedly holding fake money, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said Sunday.
Cruz said the suspect, identified as Mirzae Mahji, 30, tried to exchange 30 $100 bills into peso inside the casino of Sofitel Hotel but they were verified to be fake.
A case was being prepared to be filed in court against the suspect, Cruz said.—Danica Hermogenes
