BTC bares route of May 22 ‘Fun Ride’

PARTICIPATING riders will cruise through the streets of Metro Cebu as “Beat The Cycles – 2011 Summer 25K Fun Ride” organizers announce the route of the event on May 22.

The riding bikers will jump off from Banilad Town Centre (BTC) at 6 a.m. and return about two hours after biking through Cebu City and a portion of Mandaue City.

The BTC Fun Ride is conducted to promote awareness against the dreaded stroke with the registration fees paid given to indigent stroke patients.

Bicycle trader Bikecology is giving away branded bicycle parts to lucky winners and will provide free checkup to all registered participating bikers.

FEATURED STORIES

Branded sports apparel and accessories from Optical Adult & Child and Nike Athletic Club, plus products and gift certificates from other BTC tenants, also await the participating riders.

The route that Safety and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE) prepared was measured using the global positioning system (GPS).

There will be parlor games for the riders and their waiting family members at the BTC grounds after the race. Special prizes will also be given to riders who will complete the route with the best fancy attire, the youngest and the oldest.
