MoneyGram renews Robin Padilla as brand ambassador

A leading global money transfer company renewed its exclusive agreement with Philippine actor Robin Padilla as its brand ambassador.

“Robin Padilla has great credibility and charisma as well as an honest interest and admiration for the Filipino overseas workers around the world,” explained Juan Agualimpia, MoneyGram’schief marketing officer. “He is relatable and aspirational and we believe that he is the best spokesperson to deliver our Moneygrado message.”

MoneyGram started its collaboration with the Filipino movie personality last year, when it launched the “Moneygrado sa MoneyGram” campaign, which targets Filipino senders and receivers around the world.

“We believe that the Moneygrado sa MoneyGram campaign deepens our brand’s connection with the 11 million Filipinos overseas who need to send money home on a regular basis,” Aqualimpia said.

Padilla agreed to become a brand ambassador for MoneyGram “because the company has provided millions of Filipino workers with an affordable, efficient and trusted way” to send essential support to their loved ones.

“I am enthusiastic about this opportunity to continue representing MoneyGram,” Padilla said. “The company provides a very important service to my fellow Filipino workers around the world and I feel good about this association.”

MoneyGram has presence in 198 countries and nearly 10,000 locations in the Philippines. Receivers can claim their remittances in the Philippines through trusted partner locations including Banco de Oro, Cebuana Lhuillier, SM, M Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop, Metrobank, RD Pawnshop and Kwartagram.

Additionally, OFW family members can now send their remittances directly to loved ones’ bank accounts through MoneyGram’s cash-to-account service with any of the participating 20 banks in the Philippines.
