Germany is hiring 500 Filipino nurses

MANILA, Philippines—Germany is hiring 500 nurses from the Philippines until next year as part of the Agreement on Triple Win Migration, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration announced Saturday.

They will work initially as assistant nurse at hospitals and as qualified nurse after recognition of the foreign qualification work, the POEA said.

“The starting salary amounts to €1,900 (gross), until recognition as a qualified nurse,” it said.

up to six months to be paid by the employer.

“It is possible to apply for a permanent residence permit in Germany after five years,” the POEA said.

Deadline for submission of applications is on June 30.
