LEGAZPI CITY — The Thai consul in Manila arrived at the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group (T0G 5) based at Legazpi Airport at 10 a.m. today, Thursday.
Rooge Thammongkol was immediately briefed by Office of Civil Defense (OCD) regional director Raffy Alejandro on the condition of the Thai nationals injured when Mt. Mayon exploded ash while they and their guides were on a climb on Tuesday.
After the closed-door briefing, Thammongkol proceeded to the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) to visit the Thai Mayon survivors — Nithi Ruangpisit and Tanut Ruchipiyrak – who were rescued at the Centennial Park in Lidong, Sto.Domingo, Albay on Tuesday afternoon.
Another Thai national, Boonchai Jattupornong, was found Wednesday and was being brought down by rescuers to Legazpi City.
