Lewis was among the NYC leaders who rallied in front of the Eleanor Roosevelt Statue on the Upper West Side in support of Quinn for Mayor, stressing Quinn’s “lifelong record fighting for families and women.”
Lewis joined former Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger, former Congresswoman and NYC Comptroller Liz Holtzman and President of the Bella Abzug Leadership Institute Liz Abzug at the recent announcement and rollout of 1,000 women from all five boroughs who have pledged their support for Speaker Quinn’s bid to become New York City’s next Mayor.
Quinn’s “Walk It To Win It” canvassing was launched this past weekend with supporters walking door to door to talk to fellow New Yorkers about Quinn’s program for the middle class. Pinoys for Chris Quinn will do canvassing this coming weekend. Lewis is asking Fil-Ams to join Pinoys for Chris Quinn Phone Banks every Wednesdays 6-8 p.m.
