Suspect in kidnapping Indian nationals nabbed in Iloilo

MANILA, Philippines—Authorities arrested in Iloilo Monday a man believed to be involved in several kidnapping incidents victimizing Indian nationals, a Philippine National Police official said Monday.

Chief Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr. said suspect Peter John Dumdumaya was arrested in Barangay (village) Tabuk Suba in Jaro, Iloilo City by virtue of an arrest warrant for kidnap for ransom, and serious illegal detention around 10:45 a.m.

Police said Dumdumaya was included in Region IV-A’s list of Most Wanted Person with a P200,000 bounty for his arrest, and is a suspected member of a kidnap-for-ransom group headed by one Inderit Singh a.k.a Goldy.

In 2008, Cerbo said the group kidnapped Inne Balwinder Kumar in Morong, Rizal.
