Militants call for end to Sabah violence in rally at KL embassy

MILITANTS’ MIGHTY VOICE About 200 protesters stage a rally at the Malaysian embassy calling for an end to the violence in Sabah. MATIKAS SANTOS 

MANILA, Philippines – Protesters rallied in front of the Malaysian Embassy Thursday calling on the government to end the violence in Sabah that has, so far, claimed the lives of over 50 people.

The protesters, carrying placards that read “Stop the Killings”, “Humanitarian Ceasefire Now,” were from the Sanlakas partylist, Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP) and Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM).

They also placed red handprints on a tarpaulin that said “PM Najib, Pres. Noynoy: There’s Blood in Your Hands! Humanitarian Ceasefire Now!” referring to Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and Philippine President Benigno Aquino III.
