US Embassy Manila Deputy Chief of Mission Leslie A. Bassett will open the 8th American Corners Annual Conference at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Cebu City on May 4.
The American Corners have partnerships with the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy and host country.
They provide public access to current and reliable information about the US through book collections, the Internet and local programming.
The partnership between the U.S. Embassy Manila and the 14 American Corners in the Philippines has been a valuable component in fostering relationships and strengthening mutual understanding between the people of the United States and Philippines.
The opening will be at 10 a.m.
