California Man Charged for Kidnapping Elderly Mom
The FBI and the Jackson County (Oregon) Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Marshall McMains Goldberg, who is wanted in connection with the kidnapping of his elderly mother from her home in Ashland, Oregon, on May 24, 2011. Doris Goldberg, age 85, is considered “endangered”. She suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia, and she was living with another son at the time she disappeared. The FBI has placed posters for both Marshall and Doris Goldberg on its webpage at https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap and this case is featured on the FBI’s Facebook page today as well.
A Jackson County grand jury indicted Marshall Goldberg on state charges of kidnapping, custodial interference and contempt of court. Because local authorities believe Goldberg has fled the state, the FBI obtained a federal fugitive warrant for Goldberg on June 30, 2011. Marshall Goldberg has ties to the Los Angeles/North Hollywood area and Daly City, California (near San Francisco), and he mayhave traveled with his mother to one of those locations.
