MANILA, Philippines—Militant groups staged an anti-Malaysian rally near Malacañang Palace Thursday as fighting between armed Filipinos from Sulu and Malaysian forces in Sabah continued.

Manila Police District-Tactical Operations Center said a group of 100 people, some of whom initially identified to be from the militant group Courage, arrived in front of the Department of Budget and Management Building on General Solano Street in Manila around 10:15 a.m.

Police said the DBM building is near to one of the entry points to the Palace.
