SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III campaigned here for Team PNoy on Friday while monitoring the situation in Sabah.

Aquino, who arrived at the political rally of the team held at Heroes Hall here before 2 p.m., apologized to the audience for climbing on and off stage, saying he was just monitoring the situation in Sabah where a gunfight erupted between the followers of the sultan of Sulu and Malaysian forces.

“Mukhang tapos na po ang pangyayari. Syempre hindi pa ho kumpleto ang detalye,” he said.
