DFA announces closure of passport offices on holidays

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affars (DFA) on Friday announced that its passport offices would be closed on the following holidays:

November 30 — Bonifacio day, a regular holiday

December 24 — a special non-working holiday declared by Malacanang through Proclamation No. 361

December 25 — a regular holiday

December 31 — last day of the year, a special non-working holiday

January 1 — New Year’s day, a regular holiday

The DFA said that no passport appointments would be scheduled on these dates but on-call skeletal forces at the Passport Division, including Courtesy Lane and Diplomatic and Official Passports Section (DOPS); and the Authentication Division would be designated to answer queries on passports and authentication of civil documents.

The public may also visit the site www.dfa.gov.ph or call 556-0000 for questions and other concerns, the DFA said.
