The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Wednesday warned the public against buying Nestle’s Nesquick Chocolate Powder after some of its samples were recalled in the United States due to possible contamination with salmonella bacteria.
FDA acting director Kenneth Hartigan-Go noted that Nestle USA had voluntarily recalled some batches of Nesquick Chocolate Powder in 10.9, 21.8, and 40.7 ounce cannisters “due to possible presence of salmonella.”
Hartigan-Go also said the affected Nestle Chocolate Powder products were “produced early October 2012” and had the expiration date of October 2014.
“Those who have purchased these products should not consume it and should return them to the place of purchase for a refund,” Hartigan-Go said in a statement
However, Hartigan-Go pointed out that Nesquick Chocolate Powder was not registered with the FDA Philippines. Philip C. Tubeza
