DFA passport offices closed on Oct. 26, Nov. 1-2
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Thursday announced that its passport division offices would be closed on October 26, November 1, and November 2.
President Benigno Aquino III had issued Proclamation No. 488 which declared October 26, 2012 a regular holiday throughout the nation in observance of Eidul Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice, one of the feasts of Islam.
November 1, All Saints Day, is a special non-working holiday, while November 2, is also a special non-working holiday.
The DFA said that no passport appointments was scheduled on these dates.
“However, an on-call skeletal force at the Passport Division, including Courtesy Lane and Diplomatic and Official Passports Section or DOPS, shall be designated to answer passport-related queries,” it said.
It said that official operations for DFA Satellite Offices in Manila – SM Megamall, Robinson’s Galeria, and SM Manila – would resume on Octoberr 27.
