MANILA, Philippines—Want A visa to the United States? No secrets, just tell the truth.
Cracking down on fraudulent visa application practices, the United States Embassy in Manila on Tuesday launched a public service campaign that aims to promote honesty among US visa applicants and deter the practice of employing visa fixers to ensure an approval.
The embassy’s Consular Fraud Prevention Unit’s campaign “Walang Sikreto (No secret)” hopes to stop public reliance on fixers who promise sure approval of visa applications using “certain formulas.”
“The campaign aims to debunk popular myths that exist about applying for US visas, and urges the public to be aware of fraud by seeking more information and reporting suspected fraud on the US Embassy’s official website, manila.usembassy.gov,” the US Embassy said in a statement Tuesday.
