Information obtained from the media office of the airport said that its Doppler Very High Frequency Omni Range (DVOR) system stopped working at around 11 am Tuesday.
The DVOR is a short range radio navigation system used by pilots to locate the Naia runaway.
The media office said that due to the glitch, 15 of its flights were diverted to Clark, one in Iloilo, and one in Cebu.
It added that the last time the navigation system bogged down was in June 2010.
