Arroyo co-accused in plunder case has already left PH – Bureau of Immigration
MANILA, Philippines–One of the co-accused of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in the P300million plunder case already left the country last July.
Immigration Spokesperson Maria Antonnette Mangrobang told INQUIRER.net that Jose Taruc V left the country via Cebu Pacific last July 19.
She said the Immigration Bureau received the hold departure order from the Sandiganbayan on July 24. The HDO bars Taruc, Arroyo and their other co-accused from leaving the country.
“As per our record, he left last July 19. We only received a copy of the HDO from Sandiganbayan on July 24,” she said.
Taruc is one of the subjects of the warrant of arrest issued by the Sandiganbayan first division in connection with the P300 million plunder on the PCSO intelligence fund scam.
