MANILA, Philippines—Finally, the electronic passport operations at the Department of Foreign Affairs are back to normal.
The DFA said it implemented measures to address the backlog in passport processing, including increasing passport appointments to 5,000 everyday, extension of appointment hours and extension of passports validity.
Currently, the DFA processes passports from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday.
Passport applicants in Manila may secure an appointment within two weeks by logging on to www.epassport.com.ph or by calling (632) 737-1000.
