In an advisory sent out Thursday afternoon, the DFA said its Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) in Pasay City would accommodate until August 17 passport applicants who failed to appear for their appointments this week.
Passport applicants scheduled to process their passports between August 7 and August 10 may proceed with their appointments between Monday and Friday next week, the DFA said.
“Those scheduled on the abovementioned dates may come to the DFA-OCA at anytime and have their passport applications processed until Friday next week, August 17,” said the DFA.
Those who would like to apply on the extended dates must bring their appointment slips.
The DFA-OCA shut down operations on Tuesday due to the nonstop rains that brought extensive flooding throughout Metro Manila. The service resumed on Wednesday.
The United States Embassy will also reopen services Friday after three days of closure due to heavy rains and flooding.
Tina Malone, US Embassy spokesperson, said the embassy’s consular services will open at 7:30 a.m while other sections will open at 10 a.m.
