US Embassy launches new blog to promote US-Mindanao partnership

MANILA, Philippines—The United States Embassy has launched a new blog that aims to promote partnerships between the US and the people of Mindanao.

The blog, entitled “Peace, Prosperity, and Partnership in Mindanao”, was expected to supplement the traditional outreach programs of the US Embassy in partnership with the Philippines and officials from Mindanao, the US Embassy said on its blog site.

“The new blog includes information on how to participate in US Embassy programs offered in Mindanao, as well as conversations with young leaders from Mindanao who share their insights and impressions,” the embassy said in a statement.

“It offers updates on cultural programs, health initiatives and business innovations supported by US government agencies,” it added.

The embassy said it hoped that the blog would serve as a “space to reach new audiences” and would engage an online community committed to creating opportunities in Mindanao.
