Filipina tourist missing in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand—A 25-year-old Filipino tourist has been missing in Thailand since April 30, her relatives reported.

Kristine Enriquez Salvador was with a relative when she travelled to Thailand from the Philippines on April 27 for a pleasure visit.

The two went to Phuket, a known tourist destination for its beach resorts. Salvador was reportedly last seen at Jungceylon Shopping Mall in Patong, Phuket at 4 p.m. on April 30 but failed to show up with the relative. She was reported missing at the Phuket Police Station and at the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok.

As of this posting the whereabouts of Salvador remained unknown.

Vice-Consul Badajos said that both Thai and the Philippine immigration authorities have already been informed about the case.
