MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was tapped to look into the death of a woman who supposedly died after undergoing plastic surgery procedures performed by a celebrity plastic surgeon in San Juan City.

The woman’s son, Ronn Tristan Perez, who is a Filipino-American reality television star based in the United States, arrived at the NBI’s Homicide Division on Thursday to seek the investigation into the death of his mother.

In an interview with reporters, Perez said his mother underwent four cosmetic procedures — such as liposuction, Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck, and body tite for arms — on March 2.

He said these procedures cost P570,000 and were performed by the celebrity surgeon for seven hours.

“Just a quick Google search of it, those are the most dangerous things that you can perform. So you should do due diligence before you even do it. And then even extra care while you’re doing it. And extra care afterwards. That’s like common knowledge,” Perez said.

“And so I’m hoping that all of that was taken into consideration. That people weren’t just taking her money, preying on her insecurities about her looks and making a quick buck off of her,” he added.

According to Perez, his mother started becoming pale after undergoing the four plastic surgery procedures at the celebrity surgeon’s clinic.

“I FaceTime her, and she’s pale, she’s missing a tooth. I said, ‘What’s happening, Mom?’ Me and my brother were both worried,” Perez said.

“Next thing I know, 3 a.m., a couple of days later, I get a phone call from my uncle and my dad, and it was my mom dead.”

Perez claimed he asked the clinic for his mother’s medical records but did not receive all of the documents he wanted to see.

“I’m not accusing anyone of anything. I need more than that. I need documents, papers, expertise that what was done here is everything that was supposed to be done. No stones left unturned,” said Perez.
