Aquino welcomes Australian governor

MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino welcomed on Thursday his second foreign visitor for this week, Australian Governor-General Quentin Bryce.

Bryce, here since Wednesday for a two-day state visit, is currently holding talks with Aquino.

The two leaders are expected to issue joint press statement about their meeting.

Aquino is expected to visit Australia this year.
