People 65 or older and the disabled on Medicare Part D (prescription drug plan) will get financial relief when they fall into the prescription drug coverage gap called the so-called “donut hole.” They will get a 50 percent discount on brand name drugs in the” donut hole” and pay less for generic drugs.

Who Gets What Benefit
Small business owners with 25 or fewer full-time employees who earn less than $50,000 may qualify for a tax credit of up to 35 percent of what they pay in health insurance to offset the cost. Non-profits qualify for up to 25 percent tax credit.

Approximately 456,000 small businesses.
