Aquino arrives in Cambodia for Asean summit

PHNOM PENH—President Benigno Aquino III arrived here late Monday night to attend the two-day summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which begins on Tuesday.

The President took a chartered flight and was accompanied by Transportation and Communication Secretary Manuel Roxas II.

Aside from Roxas, other members of President Aquino’s party who arrived ahead of him included Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario, Trade Secretary Gregory Domingo, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman, Mindanao Development Authority chair Luwalhati Antonino and presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda.

From the airport here, President Aquino went straight to Sofitel hotel, his home until his return to the country Wednesday night.
