The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said in a report that as of February 2026 “Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack… against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran,” ABC News reported.
On Wednesday, the FBI warned California police of the possible strikes. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also said it has been on heightened alert since escalations in the Middle East began. /das
