Aquino arrives from state visit to Brunei

MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino arrived on Thursday afternoon from his two-state visit in Brunei.

Aquino arrived around 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Villamor Airbase and was welcomed by members of his Cabinet.

He had discussions with them at the air base.

Among the officials who welcomed Aquino were Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Deles, Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Eduardo De Mesa, Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo and Environment Secretary Ramon Paje.

In his arrival speech, Aquino reported the interest expressed by some of Brunei’s business leaders in certain industries in the Philippines.
