Bantay OCW wins best public service program
For the fourth straight year, the Gawad Tanglaw has named Pilipinas Online-BANTAY OCW with Susan K. the Best Public Service Program in the country.
The awarding ceremony was held at the University of Perpetual Help System-DALTA Auditorium in Las Piñas City on March 15, 2012.
Gawad Tanglaw, the acronym for Gawad Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw, is an organization of noted members of the academe. Every year, it honors outstanding achievements in film, television, radio, and print.
We dedicate this honor to all overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) around the world whose sacrifices overseas are truly immeasurable. We express our gratitude to Gawad Tanglaw for this very significant recognition.
Bantay OCW is now on its 15th year of public service to OFWs. The program was also awarded the 2003 Catholic Mass Media Awards Hall of Fame Award for Best in Counseling and Best in Public Service
Program, 2006 KBP Golden Dove Award for Best Public Service Program, and 2007 PopDev Media Awards Runner-Up for Best TV Documentary Program.
