3 Cabinet members named PH caretakers while Marcos is in India

MANILA, Philippines — Three Cabinet members led by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin will serve as the country’s caretakers while President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is in India for a five day state visit.
The two other Cabinet members are Education Secretary Sonny Angara and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III, Bersamin told reporters in a Viber message to reporters.

Marcos is set to embark on a five-day state visit to New Delhi and Bangalore upon the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the trip, the Philippines and India are expected to sign at least six agreements, ranging from cooperation in law, culture, science and technology, among others.
Marcos is also eyeing to expand maritime cooperation between the Philippines and India.
His itinerary includes a meeting with the Filipino community in New Delhi, a bilateral meeting with Modi, and separate meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and other key officials. /gsg
