CA panel approves Philippine envoy to Portugal
MANILA, Philippines — The appointment of Philippe Jones Lhuillier as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Portuguese Republic has been approved by a panel of the powerful Commission on Appointments.
No member of the Commission’s committee on foreign affairs objected on Wednesday when Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III recommended Luiller’s appointment for plenary approval.
Sotto’s motion was immediately seconded by Cebu Representative Eduardo Gullas.
