An Evening of Chamber Music at St. Philip Church

SAN FRANCISCO—Fresh from his concerts and master classes in Manila, including a performance at the Cultural Center of the Philippines with international piano virtuoso, Cecile Licad, Wilfredo Pasamba, cello, together with pianist Corey McVicar will again perform An Evening of Chamber Music.

This time it will be at the rustic St. Philip, the Apostle Church, at 725 Diamond St. (and Elizabeth) in San Francisco, on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 7 PM.

This will just be the second concert presented by the Fil-Am Chamber Music Society following a successful concert last January at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in San Francisco.  Part of their repertoire will be from the compositions of Dmitri Shostakovich, Sonata for Cello and Piano in D minor, Op.4 ; Claude Debussy, Sonata for Cello and Piano in D minor, and  Johannes Brahms’ Sonata for Cello and Piano in F Major, Op.99. Encore was a Sonata by Rachmaninoff.

Pasamba will arrive in time for the concert from a series of concerts, and performances with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Manila. His last performance in mid-March will be at the Cultural Center of the Philippines where he was chosen to accompany the internationally acclaimed piano virtuoso, Cecile Licad.
