PDEA seizes P687M worth of ‘shabu’ from Chinese national

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Pampanga seized approximately 101 kilograms of shabu, with an estimated street value of P686.8 million, from a Chinese national and a Filipina during a buy-bust operation in Angeles City around noon on Wednesday.
In a report, PDEA-Pampanga said the suspects were identified as Wang Jian, 31, a resident of Clark Freeport Zone, and Shania Rose Danal Trajano, 24, a resident of Barangay San Sebastian, Tarlac City.

The operation took place along Friendship Highway in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Angeles City. The confiscated shabu was found concealed in 96 tea bag wrappers and five transparent plastic bags, all loaded in a sports utility vehicle. Authorities described it as the largest drug haul so far in 2025.
According to the PDEA report, the agreed transaction amount was P1 million.
The suspects were arrested and now face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165). /MR
