MANILA, Philippines — A Filipino seminarian was the cross-bearer in the Holy Mass for the Papal conclave at the St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on Wednesday.

The Papal conclave is set to begin on Wednesday until a white smoke comes, signifying that the Catholic Church has a new pope.
According to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, Cardinals Luis Antonio Tagle, Pablo Virgilio David, and Jose Advincula are among the 133 cardinals eligible to participate in the Papal election.
This is the first time in Philippine history that there will be three Filipino cardinals participating in the much-anticipated Conclave. /cb
