MANILA, Philippines —The Palace has no information about Vice President Sara Duterte’s possible arrest, as the Philippines is “not dealing directly” with the International Criminal Court (ICC), Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said on Wednesday.
Duterte earlier claimed her name is on the ICC list after saying that her conversations with her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte—currently detained by the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands—were recorded during her visits.
Castro also said, “Wala po tayong anumang impormasyon mula sa ICC.”
(We have no information from the ICC.)
The vice president arrived back in Manila on April 7 after an almost month-long stay in The Hague.

Before her return, Duterte, who is set to face an impeachment trial in the Senate, previously said that she would not leave The Hague until she had set up her father’s legal team.
It was on March 13 (Manila time) when she first arrived in the Netherlands to assist her father.
The elder Duterte is currently detained at the ICC detention center in Scheveningen, The Hague, after being arrested over accusations of crimes against humanity allegedly committed during his administration’s war against drugs, which left at least 6,000 people dead, or at least 20,000 according to human rights groups’ reports.
