MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, who attended the funeral of Pope Francis in Vatican City, took time for a post-wedding anniversary dinner before returning to Manila.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the First Lady shared a photo of herself and Pres. Marcos seated at a restaurant in Rome, with the caption: “One final meal before heading home — made even sweeter by the staff who surprised us with an anniversary cake.”

Meanwhile, on her Facebook account, Araneta-Marcos captioned the same photo: “Post-anniversary dinner before heading back home.”
The First Couple celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary at Suba Beach in Ilocos Norte on April 17.
The First Couple tied the knot on April 17, 1993, at the San Francesco Convent in Fiesole, Italy.
Also on Sunday, Araneta-Marcos posted a photo of her carrying a Marikina bag while strolling on the streets of Rome.
In the caption, she ssaid, “Strollingthrough the streets of Rome with my trusty Marikinaa bag – – proudly carrying a piece of home wherever I go!”
