CIDG nabs 3 Chinese, 1 Filipino over P4-M unregistered beauty products

MANILA, Philippines — Three Chinese and a Filipino were arrested, and over P4-million worth of unregistered beauty products were seized during an entrapment operation in Malabon City last April 22, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported on Sunday.
In a statement, CIDG identified the Chinese suspects using their aliases as Kevin, Leo, Yin. There were managers and secretary of the Sannyou Packaging Services. The Filipino suspect was identified as “Angelito,” an employee of the same company.
They were collared by authorities in Barangay Maysilo.

“The arrested individuals were caught while selling and trading Ice Lerskin acne spot treatment and beauty products without the required Certification Product Notification from the Food and Drugs Administration,” the CIDG said.
Confiscated from them were 30 boxes of Ice Lerskin precision acne spot serum worth P4.275 and sale receipts.
The four are currently under police custody and will face complaints for violating Republic Act No. 9711 or the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act of 2009.
