NCRPO recovers P 3-million watch from alleged thief targeting foreigners
MANILA, Philippines — A 23-year-old man allegedly behind a series of robberies targeting foreigners was arrested in Quezon City.
The arrest reportedly led to the recovery of a wristwatch worth P3 million, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Friday.
According to the NCRPO, the suspect was caught in a buy-bust operation on Thursday night along Mayon Street in Barangay Santa Teresita, La Loma.
The recovered luxury wristwatch was verified with the Pasay City Police Sub-Station 10, where it was reported stolen from a Chinese businessman at a mall on an unspecified date and time.
Quezon City police also confiscated a caliber .38 revolver with three live ammunition, a scooter and a smartphone from the suspect.
The police said the suspect will face complaints before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for violating Republic Act No. 10591 or the Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
