Duterte posts video before The Hague arrival: ‘I am okay, do not worry’
MANILA, Philippines — Shortly before the charter plane carrying him arrived in The Hague in the Netherlands, former President Rodrigo Duterte posted an update on Thursday, telling Filipinos that he was fine and not to worry.
“To my countrymen, just to give you the current situation, I am about to land sa Hague. We came from Dubai and made a stopover. It’s a long flight. Okay ako (I am okay), do not worry,” said Duterte in a video posted on his Facebook account around 12:02 a.m.
“I think this has something to do with the law and order noon at sinasabi ko naman sa pulis at military trabaho ko yon,” he added.
(I think this has something to do with the law and order during my time. I already told the police and military that it’s my job.)
Duterte arrived in The Hague in the Netherlands on Wednesday evening (Manila time).
