MANILA, Philippines — An alleged Philippine offshore gaming operator (Pogo) facility housed in a condominium in Pasay City was shut down, leading to the arrest of 401 foreign nationals, according to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) on Thursday.
In its report, the PAOCC said 207 of the foreigners were Chinese, 132 were Vietnamese, 24 were Korean, 14 were Indonesian, 12 were Myanmar nationals, 11 were Malaysian, and one was a Madagascar national.
Meanwhile, 52 Filipinos were also found at the site.

The facility was raided on Wednesday, where authorities uncovered alleged evidence of cryptocurrency scams, investment scams, and love scams.
Further, operatives also recovered text blasters, one-time password generators, and cold crypto wallets.
“The law enforcement operation stemmed from a report from a concerned citizen who has been noticing [a] large number of foreign nationals in the said building,” the PAOCC said.

The commission added that the Pasay local government unit issued a cease and desist order against the site for operating without a proper business permit.
