PAOCC nabs 6 South Koreans, 15 Filipinos in Pasay Pogo hub raid
MANILA, Philippines — Six South Koreans and 15 Filipinos were arrested in Pasay City on Monday for allegedly operating a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (Pogo) hub, according to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).
In a report on Monday night, PAOCC said the suspects were apprehended after they were found operating in one of the rooms in the basement area of a hotel.
Their arrest stemmed from a mission order issued by Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado after PAOCC received intel from confidential informants that a Korean group “is engaged in online gaming that targets Korean nationals.”

“Apart from said gaming ops, they are also allegedly involved in game fixing and online scamming,” the commission said.
It added that all suspects are now under its custodial facility for immigration inquest.
Moreover, PAOCC said that a case-build investigation will occur on Tuesday in relation to the filing of complaints against the suspects.
The commission said the suspects may face complaints for violating the Securities Regulation Code, Illegal Gambling in Relation to Republic Act 10175, Money Laundering, and the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act, among others.
