PH, UAE sign treaties on extradition, legal assistance

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed treaties and memoranda of understanding (MOU) on various areas of cooperation during the World Governments Summit.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos — the country’s representative for the event— said the following treaties were signed:

The World Governments Summit 2025 was held from February 11 to 13 in Dubai.

Established in 2013, the event aims to champion the mission of “shaping future governments and creating a better future for humanity.

This year’s theme, “Shaping Future Governments,” gathered government leaders, international organizations, and private sector leaders across the globe to boost international cooperation and come up with innovative solutions for future challenges.
