MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday said he cannot comment yet on United States President Donald Trump’s plan to freeze federal aid, saying it is not yet clear.
“It’s not clear yet. It’s hard to comment because there was a problem with the freezing of the aid; the court blocked it. So, it’s not yet… It’s very unclear what it is,” Marcos said in an ambush interview in Cebu City when asked for a comment on the matter.

He added that policies regarding Trump’s announcement remain unclear, even with the US agencies.

US District Judge Loren AliKhan temporarily blocked Trump’s freeze order on federal aid on Tuesday (US time).
