Italian national nabbed for alleged assault, malicious acts in Batangas
LUCENA CITY — A 58-year-old Italian national was arrested on Sunday for allegedly committing unjust vexation and acts of lasciviousness in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
The suspect, identified only as “Claudio,” reportedly made inappropriate physical contact with a female sales staff at a convenience store in Barangay Santiago at 4:40 a.m.
Authorities said the suspect touched the woman’s buttocks and made an inappropriate comment about her chest.
Claudio also allegedly spit on the face of the store’s security guard before attempting to flee. The guard pursued the suspect and managed to corner him before the police arrived to make the arrest.
Authorities did not disclose further details about the suspect’s status in the Philippines, other than noting that he is a resident of Milan, Italy.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
