MANILA, Philippines—The Embassy of the United States in Manila and its affiliated offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Presidents’ Day, an American holiday.
The embassy and its affiliated offices will resume services on Tuesday, it said in a statement.
The Presidents’ Day is observed to jointly celebrate the February 22 birthday of George Washington, hero of the Revolutionary War and first president of the United States, and the February 12 birthday of Abraham Lincoln, the president during the Civil War (1861-1865).
