MANILA, Philippines—A British tourist and his Bulgarian companion reported losing travel documents and credit cards to pickpockets inside a Light Rail Transit (LRT) train on Friday afternoon in Manila.

Boyadjiev Todor Bojidarov, 50, temporarily staying at a hotel along A. Flores Street in Ermita, and 32-year-old Bulgarian Yordanka Aleksandrova Raykova lodged a complaint before the Manila Police District claiming that their passports, Bojidarov’s driver’s license, three credit cards, and immigration cards were stolen.

The Briton, who was also carrying his companion’s documents, discovered his pockets empty at around 5 p.m. after alighting from the LRT Line 1 on Pedro Gil station coming from Edsa. Jeannette I. Andrade
